Manual Handling Courses
Manual handling is any transporting or supporting of a load by one or more workers. It includes the following activities: lifting, holding, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of a load.
Incorrect manual handling of loads is one of the most common causes of injury at work, accounting for nearly one-third of all reported accidents. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 were introduced to help minimise the risk from manual handling operations. A requirement of these regulations is that employees are suitably informed and capable of performing manual handling operations.
Our Manual Handling courses are fully accredited to NPORS or they can be delivered as In House training.
